The 2010 Ford Mustang is not a complete overhaul as car enthusiasts expected to see.  However, the upgrades of this model improved the Mustang in thoughtful and needed aspects for the driver.

The first upgrade Ford made with the 2010 model was an overhaul of the interior.  The interior took on the retro look of the old Mustang consisting of plastic panels and seams.  The instrument panel stretches across the dash from the base of the windshield to the top of the center console and from door to door.  The new instrument cluster is designed with round dials with metallic trim and less plastic than the current Mustang.  The driver can opt in a navigational system with a huge 8-inch display with the Microsoft sync telematic system.

The new 2010 model is a better replica of the 1969 Mustang.  The grill includes four lights, two of which are fog lights and the rear fender lines are the exact lines from the 1969 version.  Both ends of the sheet metal are beveled with a bulging hood.  This car looks far more masculine but smaller than today’s Mustang.  This vehicle looks quite a bit cleaner and more coherent.

If you are looking for performance changes on the 2010 Mustang model you will be very pleased.  This model includes a reduction of drag by 7%, front lift of 23%, stiffer rear springs of 17% more, recalibrated shocks with more compression, and a reduction of body roll for hard cornering of approximately 10%.

The power hasn’t increased too much but does include the cold air system of the Mustang Bullitt and an increase of horsepower from 300 to 315.  This Mustang includes stiffer shocks, better brake pads, stiffer bushings, larger anti-roll bars, and much more.  You will feel a faster redline and you can cut 0-60 in 0.3 seconds faster than today’s Mustang.

There are many new changes you can expect to see with the new 2010 Mustang.  This model will be unleashed in 2009.  Most people were expecting a completely new version of the Mustang but Ford remained with the favorite 1969 model but improved it dramatically in many ways.  Now the driver can enjoy more comfort and the interior looking even more retro than ever before.  The dash includes the round instrument panels, comfort seating and much more.  This car looks more like the 1969 model and drives much better with larger wheels and the Mustang Bullitt air system.
