The Mustang Shelby GT500 has been around since the 1960’s and has been through many design changes over the years.  The Shelby has been the vehicle of choice by consumers for decades and there is always a limited quantity of this model made every year.

The 2007 and present Mustang Shelby is a 2-door coupe body style representing the second generation of Mustangs designed by Ford.  This vehicle will only be available until 2010 and only 10,000 vehicles per year will be available for purchase.  The assemble facility is located in Flat Rock, Michigan.

There are many features of the Mustang Shelby GT 500 which make this a very favorable vehicle.  It includes the Tremec TR-6060 manual 6-speed transmission, 18-inch wheels, complete suspension tuning, and a body kit.  The engine of this Shelby can be the 5.4 liter 500 horsepower V8 or the 5.4 liter 540 horsepower V8.  This is one powerful and very fast car.

Deliveries of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 started in May of 2006 and they are favored for the retro style with a racing look.  You can find this model with a racing stripe down the middle in many different colors.  The 2009 version of the Shelby is another 2-door passenger car available in the convertible and the coupe trim.  The car seats four passengers and offers a supercharged engine.  This car is designed to meet the demands of the rising gas prices at 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.  Overdrive is standard on this 6-speed manual transmission.  The engine offers 500 hp at 6000 rpms.

The Shelby GT500 is one of the hottest vehicles on the market today as it is a redesign of the older second generation of Ford model Mustangs.  The number of these vehicles released each year is limited which makes it even more of a steal.  This is an extremely powerful car making a statement of style and ambition.  It comes with a basic warranty of 36,000 miles and a powertrain warranty of 60,000 miles.
